I just bought a 2003 Chrysler Sebring. I noticed on one of the stations, it shows the artist name and title of the song being played. I also noticed the names of the radio stations being displayed on the screen, such as “KISS FM” or “Channel 955″ etc… Does this mean I have HD radio!?
In regards to answer 2:
Well then how come on the channels that are broadcasted in HD, I get the title of the song and the artist and on the regular channels, I get nothing?

Hello. I was wondering if anyone had any installation instructions for a HD Car connect HD Car radio with illustrations. A friend installed the radio and when the power is turned on nothing comes out of the speakers but the regular car radio works. Does the regular car radio have to be set to a certain station in order for the HD to work? Maybe he hooked it up wrong. Any illustrations or instructions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I’ve researched and sat on the JVC HD Radio KD-HDR1 for the last few months, watching the price head down hopefully to a reasonable point (under USD 100). Yesterday (Monday 3/5/2007) Wal-Mart announced they will be carrying the JVC KD-HDW10, to try to spread the HD Radio gospel.

Does anyone know if there’s a difference between the HDR1 and the HDW10, or is the HDW10 just an HDR1 w/ a different model # for Wal-Mart’s sake? I can’t tell the diff looking at the specs online between JVC and Wal-Mart.

Please, no “HD Radio is stupid, go XM/Sirius” comments. I’m past the point of paying a subscription fee to listen to radio.

I’ve been looking already, and narrowed it down to Panasonic, Alpine, and Kenwood. If anyone has this type of system in there rides. I’d like to know if they’re happy with it. Or should you have got a different one. Let me know your opinion!
