How do i install a HD radio?

I know the basics of how to connect it and an idea on how to run the wires, but do i HAVE to connect one of the cables to my cars Negative Battery Terminal? If i dont what will happen? Doesn’t look like theres any place to run the wires to the battery, unless theres room under the side door frame.
Also the grounding cable, could I connect it to any part of the metal frame?
I mean Positive terminal.

Your best bet is to buy an aftermarket wire harness from Best Buy or Circuit City. I think Wal-Mart still has them too. They cost $10 and are literally a plug and play deal. The aftermarket harness will plug directly into your factory harness and then you wire your new radio to the aftermarket harness. You don’t have to cut into the factory wire harness or worry about running wires to the battery. Do a Google search on it and see what I am talking about. I would HIGHLY recommend one!
