In your case, you can own both HD Radio (free - as long as you buy the hardware) and satellite radio (Sirius or XM - a subscription is required and hardware is needed).

		<description>You only need a satellite tuner if you plan to subscribe to satellite radio, like XM or Sirius.  If your new head unit has HD Radio built in (as opposed to "HD-Radio Ready") then you don't need any additional parts, or a subscription.</description>
