first of all, there are no "HD channels" off-air, just broadcast channels that have HD content if/when sent by the originating broadcaster. most network affiliate stations (abc, cbs, nbc) are required to pass network HD content during prime time. most pbs stations have an HD national feed on full time, with local originated SD at the same time.

if you are asking if your off-air ATSC receiver can extract HD content from satellite, the answer is no. your directv box has to be the HD type, with service paid, in order to feed HD content to your TV set. HD on satellite is on separate channels from the SD feed.  Your satellite box will require either 5-rca component connection or HDMI to get HD to your HD ready TV set.</description>

I can't tell since I don't have your model info but I'm sure one of them has it.  If not, your RadioShack also sells some A/B switches (some remote controlled) that will fix you up!</description>
