DIY HD Radio Installation Difficulty?

I’m thinking about getting an hd radio and new speakers for my car. I don’t really want to pay for installation when i can do it myself. How easy is it to understand the installation directions? I don’t want to mess up and not know what I’m doing and have everything screwed up. If the installation is hard, then I will just go to best buy and have them install it, but its kind of a lot of money. I just need your opinions for the installation difficulty. By the way, my car is a 1999 ford escort zx2. It has a 5 disk cd changer in the trunk. Will this effect the DIY process of the installation?
